In some ways, laser skin rejuvenation treatments are similar to laser skin resurfacing. Both use specific wavelengths of focused light energy to improve the look of the skin by initiating collagen production in specialized cells. However, unlike ablative resurfacing treatments that remove small points of skin to create channels, laser skin rejuvenation with Moxi™ does not damage the surface itself.
Instead, the light passes through the outermost layer of skin to be absorbed below the surface. This aspect of laser skin rejuvenation results in a natural healing process that boosts collagen levels, coagulates existing collagen to be more smooth and uniform, and provides other cosmetic benefits.
