What Is Sciton Bare HR™ Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is a common cosmetic treatment that involves delivering highly concentrated light energy to hair follicles. When the light is absorbed by pigmented cells, the resulting heat damages the follicle, preventing it from working properly in the future. Sciton Bare HR™ is the first and only laser hair removal device that can eliminate follicles without causing damage to the surrounding skin. It’s also the fastest laser hair removal device on the market.
Sciton Bare HR™ works by giving off ultra short pulses of energy at the optimal temperature to target hair follicles without harming the surrounding skin. Each patient’s laser hair removal treatment with Sciton Bare HR™ can be completely customized.
Another advantage of this treatment is that it delivers three different wavelengths—810 nm, 940 nm, and 1060 nm—along with exclusive Blend Technology to target different types of hair depths and skin types. Sciton Bare HR™ treatments are adapted to fit each patient’s specific hair and skin type for a fully personalized experience.
There are two laser hair removal treatment modes available: an independent 810nm wavelength and Blend Technology with 810 + 940 + 1060 nm wavelengths.
What Does Sciton Bare HR™ Treat?
Sciton Bare HR™ can be safely used for laser hair removal at any time of the year and on any area of the body. Due to its extra-large spot sizes, it can treat any area of the body in a short time. The face, chest, back, underarms, arms, bikini area, and legs are some of the most common treatment areas.

Who Is the Ideal Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
Sciton Bare HR™ is suitable for all complexions, including Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI. It is even safe and effective for dark or tanned skin!
What Can You Expect from a Sciton Bare HR™ Treatment?
Sciton Bare HR™ is a quick, easy laser hair removal treatment that reduces unwanted or excessive hair for good with no recovery time. It’s extremely fast, as sessions can be completed during a patient’s lunch break. This treatment also provides higher comfort levels for patients during and after the procedure. A constant contact sapphire crystal provides cooling of up to 5°C to ensure that the laser hair removal treatments are as comfortable as possible. The sensation while you are being treated is described as similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin.
The length of time it takes to complete a laser hair removal session varies depending on which area is being targeted.
Since hair grows in stages, and laser hair removal only works on actively growing follicles, this isn’t a one-time treatment. Multiple sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart will be necessary to maximize results. Patients will typically have a series of three to six treatments to dramatically reduce facial or body hair, then annual maintenance treatments that can provide continual improvements. The hair will gradually decrease in thickness and density.
Other Laser and Light Treatments
Laser hair removal is one of the most common energy-based treatments available at the Dermatology Group of Arkansas, but there are also other laser procedures, such as laser skin resurfacing, laser skin rejuvenation, and laser acne treatment. Intense Pulsed Light or IPL is a type of gentle, light-based skin rejuvenation treatment that can target pigmentation irregularities and other cosmetic concerns. Dermaplaning is also a skin rejuvenation treatment that involves using a scalpel-like tool to remove vellus hairs or peach fuzz along with dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and achieve a brighter, more even complexion.
