One of the most popular cosmetic treatments available in the United States is Juvederm®. Our Little-Rock based dermatologists regularly treat women and men alike with the injectable designed to add volume where desired on the face to create a more youthful look.

Despite its popularity, however, many patients are surprised to learn that Juvederm® is not a single injectable filler, but is a collection of fillers with different formulations to meet a range of needs.

What members of the Juvederm® collection are available at Dermatology Group of Arkansas? Read on to learn about the collection!

Ultra and Ultra Plus

Though these two formulations share a name in “Ultra,” they are slightly different. Ultra contains finer particles ideal for subtle results, while Ultra Plus is a thicker gel with larger particles to make more obvious corrections. Both members of the Juvederm® family are intended for smoothing nasolabial folds, which are lines that develop on either side of the mouth and nose. Many people commonly call these creases “parenthesis lines.”

Voluma

An especially thick and robust gel, Voluma is a filler intended for significant facial contouring. It can be injected into a deflated midface in order to provide more roundness to the apple of the cheeks, as well as to “reinforce” structure and support that keeps facial skin from sagging down into jowls. This formulation can also be used to create a more prominent chin to give the face better-defined contours.

Vollure

Something of a “middle ground” filler, Vollure can be used to address wrinkles and lines that develop in the nose and mouth area.

Volbella

Want to kiss thin lips goodbye? Vollure is the treatment for you! This filler formulation is especially refined, made specifically to enhance a person’s pout for a noticeably fuller look. The thinner gel is also ideal for injecting around the mouth to smooth fine wrinkles and lip lines.
